The body combines plywood parts in two thicknesses, 4 and 2 millimetres, to give the streamlined shape its stiffness without adding weight. The model is built without glue in around ten hours and lands at 437 parts with an advanced difficulty rating, placing Roadster among the more time consuming vehicle models. The body ships unpainted for the buyer's own paint job or a natural wood finish. Roadster VM-01 shares its design language with Bike VM-02, Heavy Boy Truck VM-03 and Dream Cabriolet VM-05 but is sold standalone.
