The Sky Watcher Tourbillon Table Clock is a functional mechanical table clock driven by a spring motor. The clock runs for approximately two to three hours on a full winding and gives off a pleasant background ticking while it works. Time is displayed on rotating reels rather than by hands. On top sits a tourbillon rotating on three axes; in wrist and pocket watches a tourbillon counteracts the effect of gravity on accuracy by seating the escape and balance wheel in a rotating cage, while in table clocks it mainly serves a decorative purpose. The sphere of the tourbillon is styled as an observatory dome scanning the celestial sphere.

The model is built in pre-laser-cut plywood and assembles without glue or special tools, and it needs neither batteries nor electronics. With 338 parts and around fifteen hours of assembly it is among the longer build projects in the range and is aimed at experienced builders from 14 years. Step-by-step instructions in eleven languages are included and spare parts can be ordered free of charge. The finished model measures 16.5 x 30.5 x 18 cm and is meant to stand on display as a working table clock. The package measures 37.3 x 17 x 5 cm and weighs 1228 grams, with four units per carton.
