Corsair
The Vought F4U Corsair is one of WWII's most iconic warbirds, instantly recognised by its inverted gull wing. That wing shape gave the huge propeller ground clearance while keeping the landing-gear legs short and strong, and Japanese forces nicknamed the type ’Whistling Death’. Black Horse recreates it in an impressive 1/5 scale with a 2280 mm wingspan, built entirely from balsa and plywood.
The large size gives stable, majestic flight, while laser-cut construction keeps the weight down so affordable 55–65cc petrol engines are enough. Supplied nearly ready to fly (ARTF) with the correct gull-wing angle and rotating electric retracts (main and tail) with CNC suspension metal struts.
