Ryan STA V2
The Ryan ST/STA is an elegant low-wing sport and training monoplane that first flew in 1934, famous for its polished aluminium fuselage and timeless 1930s lines – the basis for the military PT-22 Recruit trainer. Black Horse recreates the graceful silhouette at a 1800 mm wingspan, built entirely from balsa and plywood and factory-covered in Oracover.
Flight performance is smooth and dependable, with functional landing flaps, a stable undercarriage and a steerable tailwheel. Supplied almost ready to fly (ARTF) from laser-cut balsa with a GRP cowl, a pilot figure, a two-part wing with an aluminium tube joiner and a 58 mm spinner.
