OcCre S3/6 BR-18 – advanced Bavarian express locomotive model
OcCre S3/6 BR-18 is a wooden-metal kit in 1:32 / G-45 scale that recreates one of Germany’s most elegant steam locomotives. The BR 18.4 was designed and built at the J. A. Maffei workshops in Munich, with the first example delivered on 16 July 1908.
For retailers, the S3/6 BR-18 is a clear premium product in the locomotive range. The locomotive had a Pacific-type axle layout with large driving wheels and was the largest engine ever built by Maffei at the time. It is still regarded as one of the most beautiful locomotives of the German railways, making the model especially appealing to collectors and railway-history customers.
With 2342 parts and around 500 hours of build time, the S3/6 BR-18 is an advanced project for experienced model builders. Its connection to long-distance routes in Bavaria and famous trains such as the Orient Express, Rheingold, Ostend-Vienna Express and Paris-Carlsbad-Prague Express gives the model strong storytelling value and a clear place in a more ambitious railway range.
