RadioLink R8FG 8-channel receiver with gyro
The RadioLink R8FG is an 8-channel 2.4 GHz receiver with dual antennas, an integrated gyro and support for PWM and SBUS, designed for RC cars, boats and robot projects. With FHSS spread spectrum technology, 67-channel pseudorandom frequency hopping, up to 600 metres of range on the ground and IPX4 splash protection, it is a versatile choice for demanding ground and boat models.

FHSS communication with strong interference protection
The R8FG uses FHSS spread spectrum technology and 67-channel pseudorandom frequency hopping for stable transmission and strong interference protection even with several users at once, and also helps reduce interference from fuel-powered engines.
Response down to 3 ms
With the RC8X transmitter the servo speed can be set to 14 ms, 4 ms or 3 ms (default 14 ms with other transmitters); 14 ms suits analogue servos and 4 ms or 3 ms digital servos. The 3 ms option needs an RC8X with firmware V1.1.5 or later and the FHSS V2 protocol, and an R8FG with V2.1 marking or a factory date, PASS, 2023-04-26 or later.
Control range of up to 600 metres
The R8FG has a specified range of up to 600 metres on the ground and, with a camera, screen or goggles, can be used in FPV-focused models. The range may vary depending on the model, installation, antenna placement, surroundings and signal conditions.
Integrated gyro with adjustable sensitivity
The integrated high-performance gyro with software filter and PID algorithm improves stability and makes the vehicle easier to control during acceleration, braking and driving on varying surfaces, with sensitivity adjustable via the PS3 switch.
Built-in real-time telemetry
The R8FG has built-in real-time telemetry for the model's battery voltage, RSSI and receiver voltage (RSSI and receiver voltage shown once binding is complete). Model voltage is shown by connecting the cable to the ESC, battery and telemetry port – no extra module needed – with support up to 8S, 33.6 V.
Support for PWM and SBUS
The RadioLink R8FG supports both PWM and SBUS, making it flexible for different RC installations, for example model boats and cars with FPV equipment.
- PWM mode: A green LED, or a green and red LED, stays lit and indicates PWM signal output on a total of 8 channels.
- PWM + SBUS mode: A blue LED stays lit and indicates PWM + SBUS signal output.
- CH1 to CH7: PWM signal output.
- CH8: SBUS signal output.
IPX4 splash protection
The circuit board and pins use nano-coating technology similar to that in mobile phones, and the receiver is splash-protected to IPX4 (protection against splashing water per the IEC classification standard).
Subsidiary ID function
Subsidiary ID lets you assign a specific ID among several bound receivers – useful for long-distance rescue, towing, teaching or using several models with one transmitter, such as towing one model boat with another or switching a transmitter between models.

The maximum range varies with the model, installation, antenna placement, surroundings and signal conditions, so place the receiver for good antenna reception. Response down to 3 ms requires a compatible RC8X, the right firmware and FHSS V2 support, and model-voltage telemetry needs a cable to the ESC, battery and telemetry port; always check the signal output, gyro sensitivity and channel settings before use.
