Compact handheld transmitter for many models

Its low weight, detachable joysticks and compact format make the T8S easy to take along and comfortable during longer sessions. It works with many model types, including helicopters, aeroplanes, gliders, multirotors, RC cars, boats and robots.

Up to 2000 metres of range

The T8S uses FHSS spread spectrum with 67-channel pseudorandom frequency hopping for a stable signal and good interference protection, and is specified for around 2000 metres of control range in the air under open, interference-free conditions. Actual range varies with model, installation, antenna placement and surroundings.

High control precision

The T8S has 4096 channel resolution and a precision of 0.25 µs per section, and the optimised circuit board layout gives low PWM jitter and a stable control signal for a more precise control feel.

Parameter setup via app and USB upgrade

Parameters are set via an Android or iOS app over Bluetooth directly from your phone, and the firmware can be upgraded via USB. An unlimited number of model settings can be stored according to the documentation.

  • The parameter app supports both Android and iOS
  • The app's language adapts to the phone's language
  • The software for firmware upgrade and parameter setup supports Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11

Built-in real-time telemetry

The T8S supports real-time feedback of transmitter voltage and RSSI, and together with compatible receivers such as the R16F, R8FGH, R8FG or R7FG, model voltage can be shown in the mobile app.

Four programmable mixing functions

Channels 5 to 8 are programmable, and the T8S supports standard mixes such as aileron-to-elevator and flap-to-aileron for fixed-wing or V-tail models. The four mixing functions also make the transmitter useful for cars, boats, engineering vehicles and twin-engine models.

Support for several model types

The T8S switches its layout depending on the selected mode. The supplied R8EF receiver has a 210 mm antenna and is also well suited for RC boats where stable reception is important.

  • Helicopters
  • Aeroplanes
  • Gliders
  • Multirotors
  • RC cars
  • RC boats
  • Robots

R8EF receiver with PWM, SBUS and PPM

The supplied R8EF receiver supports PWM, SBUS and PPM, reducing the need for extra cables or signal converters. With SBUS and PPM, channels 3 to 8 can simultaneously output corresponding PWM signals, so the T8S’s controls can be used for functions such as pan/tilt and landing gear.

Ergonomic and portable design

The T8S has a compact, ergonomic design with low weight, and the detachable joysticks can be adapted to the user’s hands and control habits.

USB charging and built-in battery

The built-in 1S 900 mAh lithium battery charges via a computer or phone charger with a USB cable; below 3.7 V the green battery indicator flashes and the transmitter emits a warning sound. Power consumption is under 150 mA and the usage time at full charge is stated to be around 5 hours.

Wide receiver compatibility

The T8S comes with two R8EF receivers and is also compatible with several other RadioLink receivers.

  • R8EF, standard receiver
  • R16F
  • R16SM
  • R12F
  • R8XM
  • R8FM
  • R8SM
  • R8FG
  • R8FGH
  • R7FG
  • R6FG
  • R6F
  • R4FGM

Good to know

The maximum range is tested in open areas without interference; actual range varies with model, installation, antenna placement, environment and signal conditions. Parameter setup requires a compatible mobile device and Bluetooth, a firmware upgrade requires a USB cable and compatible software, and the simulator function requires a compatible receiver and correct connection – always check the receiver, signal type, model type and channel settings before use. Always charge the built-in lithium battery according to the manufacturer’s instructions with a suitable USB power source.
