The Spitfire Mk IX is one of aviation's best-loved fighters, with its iconic elliptical wing and Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. The Mk IX was introduced in 1942 to counter the Focke-Wulf 190 and restore parity in the air. Black Horse has skilfully recreated it at a 2000 mm wingspan, built entirely from balsa and plywood and covered in heat-shrink film with printed authentic detail.
The model features electric retractable oleo gear (included), a 115 mm spinner and a GRP cowl, and is supplied largely factory-built. Build as 30–35cc petrol or with an electric drive.
