Ju 87 Stuka
The Ju 87 Stuka – short for Sturzkampfflugzeug, 'dive bomber' – is one of WWII's most recognisable aircraft, with its characteristic cranked wing and fixed undercarriage. Infamous was the wailing 'Jericho Trumpet' siren on the landing-gear legs, fitted purely as a psychological weapon. This updated V2 from Black Horse has an improved design and is easier to assemble, built entirely from balsa and plywood at a 1920 mm wingspan and covered in PVC film.
The characteristic ailerons and flaps work just like the original and are surprisingly effective. The tapered wing calls for care on landing, but the sprung oleo struts absorb the knocks steadily. The wings come off for transport and the cockpit is left unglued so you can detail it as you wish. Primarily intended for a 1.20 four-stroke engine, but it can also be built with electric power via a hatch on the underside.
