Piper J-3 Cub
The Piper J-3 Cub is perhaps the world's best-loved light aircraft – the yellow high-wing classic from 1938 that taught a whole generation to fly. Black Horse recreates it faithfully at a 1950 mm wingspan with the correct USA-35B airfoil, built entirely from balsa and plywood and hand-covered in genuine Oracover.
With its low wing loading (59.5 g/dm²) the Cub flies slow, stable and forgiving – while the classic tail-dragger configuration adds rewarding ground handling for the seasoned pilot. Supplied pre-built (ARTF) with aluminium main gear and spring-wire tail gear (included). Choose glow (.46–.55 two-stroke) or an electric drive.
