Futaba GYA483 - An ultra-compact 6-axis gyroscope for aircraft. The essence of the popular GYA573 has been packed into a size equivalent to the small 1-axis gyroscopes GYA450/451.
GYA483 Specs:
- 6-axis gyro for airplanes (compatible with electric and engine-powered aircraft)
- Dimensions Weight: 20.7 x 20.7 x 11.0 mm / 3.7 g
- Operating voltage: DC 3.8V to 8.4V
- Current consumption: 30mA
- Switching between 1-axis/2-axis/3-axis operation modes
- Output channel settings for each operating mode
- * For use with the GYA483, we recommend a transmitter with 10 or more channels and an S.BUS compatible receiver.
- * The GYA483's 3-axis mode uses S.BUS output. An S.BUS servo or an S.BUS signal converter such as SBD-1/2 or DLPH-2/3 is required.
GYA483 Functions
- Equipped with 3-axis angular velocity and acceleration sensors.
- The aircraft can be mounted in one of six directions.
- Switching between 1-axis/2-axis/3-axis operation modes
- In single-axis mode, you can select AIL/ELE/RUD.
- In 1-axis mode, normal channel input is possible for the control channel and the gyro gain channel (operates in the same way as GYA450/451).
- When connected via S.BUS in single-axis mode, it supports dual ailerons, dual elevators, and twin rudders (operates in a manner equivalent to GYA450/451).
- 2-axis and 3-axis modes are S.BUS input only.
- In 2-axis mode, you can select the output channel combinations of AIL/ELE, ELE/RUD, and AIL/RUD.
- 2-axis and 3-axis modes support elevon (delta wing) and V-tail.
- 3-axis mode is S.BUS output only (requires S.BUS servo or S.BUS decoder equipment)
- In 3-axis mode, you can select between S.BUS output and the normal CH3 (THR) output.
- 3-axis mode allows for gyro control of 3rd AIL (AIL3) and 4th AIL (AIL4).
- Gyro gain can be set from the transmitter (remote gain setting)
- Auto-recovery mode that automatically returns the device to a horizontal position if it loses its orientation.
- Five operating modes—AVCS/Normal/Gyro Off/Auto Recovery/Roll Flat—can be switched via the transmitter.
- 4D flight compatible ( Please refer to the 4D pack page for settings)
- The 3-axis mode, when used in combination with the DLPH-2 , allows for the reliable operation of large machines that require robust power lines.
- Basic settings such as operating mode and gyro/reverse can be adjusted using the buttons and LED indicator on the unit.
- The complex initial setup can be easily performed from the transmitter. (Compatible transmitters: T32MZ/WC, T26SZ, T16IZS)
- Air brake mixing (AIL/AIL2/AIL3/AIL4/ELE/EL2) settings are available.
- * Do not use simultaneously with the transmitter's air brake mixing function.
- * Even if you set the same rate as the transmitter's air brake mixing, the actual servo movement will differ.
- Camber mixing settings (AIL/AIL2/AIL3/AIL4/ELE/EL2) are available.
- * Do not use simultaneously with the transmitter's camber mixing function.
- * Even if you set the same rate as the transmitter's camber mixing, the actual servo movement will differ.
- Supports S.BUS input/output for FASSTest 26CH
- Roll and flat function
If the aileron stick is set to neutral, the roll angle will be maintained horizontally within the specified conditions (*Note 1). This allows you to concentrate on elevator and throttle control during landing, reducing anxiety during landing. It can also be used to practice horizontal attitude during high-altitude flight.
- *Note 1: The pitch angle (elevator direction) is within ±60 degrees and the roll angle is within a specified range.
Important points to note when selecting a servo:
- For the GYA483, please use our S.BUS2 compatible servos.
- Servos that only support S.BUS and those that do not support S.BUS/S.BUS2 cannot be used with S.BUS output in 3-axis mode.
