Hobbywing 38020600 – XeRun AXE 5IVE R3 + AXE 4987 R3S 1600 kV Crawler Combo
Sensored FOC brushless system for 1/5 and 1/6 scale crawlers: XeRun AXE 5IVE R3 ESC (3–8S, 220 A) with XeRun AXE 4987 R3S motor (1600 kV).
The AXE 5IVE R3 combo is Hobbywing's high-power FOC system for large-scale crawlers. FOC (Field Oriented Control) gives very strong, smooth torque at the lowest speeds and runs almost silently. Intelligent torque control and closed-loop speed control keep motor rpm steady under changing loads – adding torque uphill and holding back the speed downhill.
XeRun AXE 5IVE R3 ESC (30114000)
- 3–8S LiPo, 220 A continuous / 900 A peak current
- Ultra-high-voltage BEC, adjustable from 6 to 14 V in 0.1 V steps (15 A, up to 35 A max) – for HV servos, lights and winches
- Two auxiliary channels (white and yellow signal wires) for adjusting settings such as drag brake from the transmitter while driving
- Drag brake up to 200% for strong holding power on slopes
- Built-in Bluetooth – settings, live data and firmware updates via the HW Link app, no extra module required
- Four driving modes, 22 adjustable parameters and up to 24° Turbo timing
- Smart fan that only runs when needed (can be disabled)

- Protections: low-voltage cutoff, thermal protection, fail-safe and motor lock-up protection

- 1600 kV on 3–8S LiPo, purpose-built for 1/5 and 1/6 scale crawlers
- Built-in high-precision magnetic encoder – according to Hobbywing 60× more accurate rotor-position data than conventional Hall sensors – for smooth, cogging-free low-speed control
