AT9S Pro 12-Channel Radio with R9DS Receiver – Mode 1, Grey
The AT9S Pro is RadioLink's 12-channel transmitter for airplanes, helicopters, gliders, multicopters and racing drones, and it also handles cars, boats and robots. This version is grey and comes in Mode 1, with throttle and aileron on the right stick. Settings are made on a 2.8-inch color screen with guided menus, the transmitter stores 15 models, and all twelve channels are programmable. The box includes an R9DS 10-channel receiver.
The link uses RadioLink's DSSS and FHSS hybrid with 16-channel frequency hopping and QPSK modulation, reaching up to 3,400 m in the air with the R9DS, or 4,000 m with the R12DS. Response time is 3 ms. Besides RadioLink's own protocol, the AT9S Pro supports TBS CRSF, so a TBS Crossfire module can be connected. Current draw is just 90 mA.

Screen and menus
The 2.8-inch color screen has 240 × 320 pixels and 16-bit color. The menu system is guided and shows on-screen instructions while you make settings, so you can get started without digging through the manual. The transmitter switches layout automatically depending on the selected model type and stores 15 models.
Firmware is updated via USB, and model data can be copied over the same connection.
Range and response time
The AT9S Pro combines DSSS and FHSS with 16-channel pseudo-random frequency hopping and QPSK modulation, giving a stable signal on all twelve channels. According to RadioLink, the technology allows 100 pilots to fly at the same field at the same time without interference.
The transmitter is built around a 32-bit STM32 processor and a wireless chip from Texas Instruments, and response time is 3 ms. Resolution is 4096 steps, with servo jitter of at most 1.84 µs and typically 0.25 µs.
| Receiver | Ground | Air |
| R12DS | 2,000 m | 4,000 m |
| R12DSE | 2,000 m | 4,000 m |
| R12DSM | 1,100 m | 4,000 m |
| R9DS (included) | 900 m | 3,400 m |
| R6DS | 300 m | 600 m |
| R6DSM | 300 m | 500 m |
Range is measured in open terrain without interference.
Simulator, trainer and Crossfire
Simulator support lets you practice indoors when the weather does not allow flying, and in simulator mode the RF section is switched off to save battery.
The trainer function works with a traditional cable or wirelessly. In wireless mode the instructor can move freely within 600 m, which requires RadioLink's wireless trainer cable, sold separately.
A TBS Crossfire module can be connected via the PPM/CRSF port. With CRSF, the Crossfire binds to a TBS receiver (BLACKSHEEP), and transmit power and range are then determined by the Crossfire module. The cable between the AT9S Pro and the Crossfire is not included.
Mixing, telemetry and receivers
All twelve channels can be programmed, and mixing is set up in a clear graphical view. Preset mixes include airbrake, aileron to elevator, flap to aileron and V-tail.
With the PRM-01 telemetry module (sold separately) connected to the R9DS or R12DS, model battery voltage is shown on the transmitter screen. The PRM-03 together with a RadioLink flight controller such as the PIX6, PIXHAWK, CrossFlight or Mini Pix adds speed, altitude, GPS position, RSSI, flight mode and attitude. RSSI can also be sent to the FPV monitor.
Sound, message and vibration alarms warn of low RSSI, low model voltage, low receiver voltage and low transmitter voltage.
The R9DS provides 9 channels of PWM, or 10 channels via SBUS and PWM. For all twelve channels, use the R12DS. One transmitter can be bound to up to 30 receivers, and the SBUS output suits flight controllers and boards such as Ardupilot, PX4, Betaflight, Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
Power and ergonomics
The transmitter runs on 7.4–15 V through a standard JST connector: 8 × AA batteries, 2S–3S LiPo or 18650 lithium. An efficient switching power supply keeps current draw at 90 mA at 12 V, and a 1800 mAh 3S battery lasts about 12 hours. With a TBS Crossfire connected, the maximum is a 3S LiPo or an 18650. Reverse polarity protection guards both transmitter and receiver. The battery compartment measures 116 × 36 × 32 mm, and an 18650 pack must have a JST connector and fit those dimensions.
The controls comprise two dials, two sliders, three 3-position switches, two 2-position switches and a trainer switch. The potentiometers offer high precision, the grip is ergonomically shaped and the lanyard mount is weight-balanced. The stick mode is Mode 1 on delivery.
Compatibility
Receivers: R9DS (included), R6DS and R6DSM for 10 channels, R12DS, R12DSE and R12DSM for 12 channels, plus TBS (BLACKSHEEP) receivers via CRSF.
Model types: helicopters with 90° and 120° swashplates, airplanes, gliders, multicopters, cars, boats and robots.
Signals: PWM, SBUS, PPM and CRSF.
Telemetry modules: PRM-01 for voltage and PRM-03 for OSD telemetry, both sold separately.
